The 988 Suicide and Crisis lifeline is available 24/7 to support individuals who are experiencing distress, or crisis. The lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support (and if needed, information on resources) around the clock to the affected individual, or their friends or family members. You can access the lifeline directly or encourage your loved one by dialing 988 by phone or sending a text message SMS to 988.
